Hi! I'm Sarah. It's so very nice to meet you! Thank you for finding your way to my website and this blog post.
I'm a painter by accident but I'm a writer by trade and I'm going to keep you up-to-date as best I can, here on my blog. I started painting in an effort to recover from grief when I was looking for ways to heal. I have practiced yoga and meditation for years but never found so deep a meditative state as what I find when I paint.
To my surprise, and that of my family and friends, some of what I painted turned out to be kind of good. At least, it made me happy and people could at least tell what the paintings were supposed to portray. I kept going, finding peace in the process and joy in the result.
I was taught by a journalism professor back when I studied at Carleton University that if something interests/delights/moves you it will interest/delight/move at least one other person.
I'm hopeful that these paintings that I like so much bring some happiness to others. If you find some meaning here, please drop me a note or find me on Instagram to say hello.
I look forward to spending more time with you. Thank you for visiting me and my work.
Sarah
